Graham Mawer (gmawer@nextenergy.com.au) has spent the past decade consulting on projects in the Australian utilities sector, and leads Next Energy's street lighting practice. Before coming to Australia, he worked for a UK technology consulting firm where he ran their northern England office, serving clients in the energy, petrochemical and product manufacturing sectors. He has also previously led a consulting group assisting Canadian companies to enter the emerging Mexican market and worked as an engineering consultant on commercial building projects in Canada. Graham has a B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto and an MBA from McGill University.
Dr Robin Roy (rroy@nextenergy.com.au) has over two decades of experience in the energy sector in the U.S. and Australia. Over the last ten years, he has undertaken a wide variety of public and private sector consulting assignments in the Australian utilities sector. Robin was formerly Project Director & Fellow at the United States Congress’ Office of Technology Assessment where he advised the Congress on competition in the electricity market, energy efficiency initiatives and nuclear industry issues. Prior to that, he was with Pacific Gas and Electric Company in their strategic planning group. Dr Roy gained a Ph.D. - Civil Engineering, MS - Engineering-Economic Systems and BS - Electrical Engineering from Stanford University..
Sue Salmon (ssalmon@nextenergy.com.au) is a consultant with twenty years experience in environmental and energy issues. She is non-executive Chair of the Total Environment Centre, a NSW non-government environment advocacy group. Sue is Project Director for Sydney University's Warren Centre Low Energy High Rise Project. While at the NSW Government's agency, SEDA, Sue was Program Manager of the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating Scheme and made ABGR the national greenhouse performance benchmark for commercial buildings. Prior to joining SEDA, Sue served as advisor to the then Federal Environment Minister, John Faulkner, where her primary responsibility was climate change policy.

David Roach (droach@fridgebuyback.com.au) is the Operations Manager of Next Energy’s Fridge Buyback Program. Before working for Next Energy, David worked on the Nature Conservation Council of NSW’s successful ‘Hotspots’ bushfire project and climate change issues. Prior to this, he was a researcher at Macquarie University’s Graduate School of the Environment and worked at the Australian Research Institute in Education for Sustainability (ARIES). David has also worked in the IT industry in Canada and the UK. He graduated from Macquarie University with a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies and has a BSc. from Plymouth University, England. |
